A cameraman during Hoffenheim's defeat to Mainz 05 is taken to hospital after getting knocked out cold by Andreas Beck.

A cameraman was sent to hospital after getting knocked out while working during Hoffenheim's defeat to Mainz 05 on Saturday.

Hoffenheim captain Andreas Beck crashed into the cameraman after falling behind the advertising hoardings during play, which resulted in the man needing treatment.

After paramedics attended to the cameraman, it is believed that he left the stadium and was taken to hospital with concussion.

Hoffenheim press officer Holger Tromp is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "He is doing well under the circumstances. He is responsive and has been given a neurological check in hospital."

Hoffenheim were later defeated 4-2 in the Bundesliga clash.
