Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington has admitted that her aim for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! is not to be crowned Queen of the Jungle.

The 24-year-old was confirmed by ITV as a contestant on the new series of the reality show yesterday.

"I'm not in it to win it," the Daily Star quotes Adlington as saying. "Definitely not. I'm more interested in taking part.

"I think I'll be alright. I've got two dogs at home, and I've been to Australia quite a few times before."

Adlington is not the only sports star to enter the jungle - snooker's Steve Davis has also been added to the lineup.
