M'Baye Niang's red Ferrari reportedly smashes into a tree in France, but the on-loan Montpellier striker is said not to have been in the car at the time.

AC Milan striker M'Baye Niang's red Ferrari reportedly smashed into a tree in France on Sunday.

According to Le Parisien, the winger, who moved to Montpellier HSC on loan last month, is said not to have been in the car at the time when it drove head first into a tree.

Reports have claimed that Niang tweeted that he was unhurt following the incident, but later deleted the message for insurance purposes.

Niang has netted four goals in six games since joining Montpellier.
