Paddy Power opt to pay out to punters who backed Manchester United to win the Premier League title this season.

Irish bookmaker Paddy Power have decided to pay out on Manchester United winning this year's Premier League title.

With 13 matches remaining the Red Devils are nine points clear of rivals Manchester City in second spot and could stretch that lead even further if they overcome Everton at Old Trafford later today.

Despite the fact that there are still 36 points play for after the match with the Toffees, Paddy Power have opted to pay punters who backed United to win a 20th championship their winnings.

"*NEWSFLASH* Paddy Power are PAYING OUT Manchester United to win the Premier League," a message read on their official Twitter account.

Last season Betfred paid out on United winning the league when they were eight points in front with six matches remaining. As it was, City went on to take the title on the final day of the campaign on goal difference.
