Sky Sports F1 moves up the Sky EPG, bumping Manchester United's TV station down the pecking order.

Sky Sports F1 has been promoted up the Sky EPG in time for the 2013 Formula 1 season.

The channel, which launched last season, will move to Sky channel 406 from Monday, February 4, a rise of two places.

The F1 service replaces Manchester United's premium TV channel MUTV, which is demoted to channel 418 on the same date, and bunches Sky's six wholly-owned sports channels together in the EPG.

The switch comes ahead of the launch of BT's two new sports channels this summer, which could land in the prime spots of 407 and 408 in the EPG.
