Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, Wayne Rooney and Angel di Maria have been poked fun at by Tottenham Hotspur vendors after 'Only Fools and Man United' T-shirts were put up for sale on Wednesday night.

The T-shirts refer to the iconic BBC comedy Only Fools and Horses, but rather than carry the deluded message that characters Del Boy and Rodney Trotter are going to become millionaires, the United trio were mocked for their attempts to win the Premier League this season.

On the T-shirt, the faces of Van Gaal, Rooney and Di Maria are superimposed onto the bodies of the TV series' characters, who are surrounded by the line: "This time next year, we'll be champions."

According to the Daily Mail, the tops went on sale from Tottenham vendors prior to the North London outfit's 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in the Capital One Cup last night.

United have won just once in five league games this season.
