Chelsea's Petr Cech hits back at Manchester United fan on Twitter

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech hits back at a Manchester United fan on Twitter by criticising the state of the Red Devils.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech decided to mock Manchester United on Twitter by responding to a supporter who teased him about his lack of first-team opportunities this season.

The Czech shot-stopper has become second fiddle at Stamford Bridge following the return of Thibaut Courtois this summer.

One Twitter user, who supports United, wrote to Cech saying: "how's your friend courtois doing in goal for Chelsea?"

In response, the goalkeeper opted to poke fun at the Red Devils, who fell from their place as champions to seventh last season following the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Cech tweeted: "Much better than the team you support."

The 32-year-old later tweeted to all of his followers: "People send messages for banter... But when you answer the same way, they get offended and are not happy... don't get it..."

Reports have claimed that Cech could leave the club before the close of the transfer window next Monday, with Real Madrid and Monaco being reported as possible destinations.
