Jamie Carragher mocks 'joke' Manchester United on Twitter

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher suggests that Manchester United are a 'joke' while replying to a fellow Twitter user.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has suggested that Manchester United are a 'joke' after replying to a fellow Twitter user.

The 36-year-old, who now works as a Sky Sports pundit, spent 17 years playing for United's arch rivals Liverpool.

Last season, the Red Devils fell from champions to seventh place after David Moyes took over from departing manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Under new boss Louis van Gaal, United have recorded one defeat and one draw in the Premier League this season, as well as a loss in the second round of the Capital One Cup.

When a Twitter user asked Carragher to tell him a joke, the retired defender replied on the social networking website with the message: "Man United?"
