Maccabi Tel Aviv, Legia Warsaw protest against welcoming refugees

Maccabi Tel Aviv fans and Legia Warsaw supporters protest against helping refugees during the crisis.

Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv and Polish outfit Legia Warsaw have protested against welcoming refugees to their lands.

A number of football clubs, including Bayern Munich and Borussia Monchengladbach, have offered donations and support to various efforts to help those fleeing.

However, on Saturday, Maccabi Tel Aviv fans unfurled a banner which read, 'refugees not welcome', during their match against Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona.

In Poland, a collection of Legia Warsaw supporters were heard chanting, "we all in Legia shout loud together, no to those Islam savages", during their team's 2-2 draw against Zaglebie Lubin on Friday.
