Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge reveals childhood love for WWE

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge reveals that he used to be a fan of wrestling during his childhood.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has revealed that he was a fan of wrestling when he was a youngster.

The 24-year-old, who has been a driving force for the Reds in their Premier League title charge this season, has claimed that his favourite WWE star was The Undertaker.

"Football is what I've always wanted to do, but I did love wrestling when I was younger," Sturridge told sbtv.co.uk. "Obviously it wasn't something I really could've done [as a career].

"The Undertaker was my favourite one because he was the scariest at the time with his music, the darkness and the way he'd come out of the ring."

The Undertaker is gearing up for a clash against Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania XXX in April.
