Leeds Rhinos full-back Zak Hardaker has reportedly admitted to assaulting a student after being questioned by police.

The 23-year-old has been released by West Yorkshire police, who launched an investigation into an alleged incident that occurred last month.

According to the Daily Mail, Hardaker and his 19-year-old teammate Elliot Minchella admitted to assaulting a 22-year-old and agreed to pay a compensation fee of £200 and write a letter of apology to the victim.

Leeds have confirmed that both players are available for selection after the police investigation concluded.
