Usain Bolt's Rio 2016 preparations to be filmed for documentary

Six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt will have his preparations for Rio 2016 filmed for a documentary.

Six-time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt will be the star of a new documentary following the Jamaican sprinter through his preparations for Rio 2016.

The 28-year-old, who is expected to retire from the sport the year after the Olympics, will attempt to defend his titles in the 100m and 200m events.

British filmmakers Fulwell 73 will create the documentary, which is also due to contain footage of Bolt's previous triumphs and world-record breaking efforts.

Brothers Ben and Gabe Turner will direct the piece, much to the delight of Bolt, who also has eight World Championship gold medals.

"When I met Gabe and Ben and heard about their previous work I felt they would be the right people to tell my story and capture my journey to Rio 2016," Bolt told AP.

Bolt's last appearance in major competition was at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow last year when he helped Jamaica win gold in the 4x100m relay.
