Sir Alex Ferguson's autobiography 'used to inspire France World Cup squad'

France manager Didier Deschamps reportedly used Sir Alex Ferguson's autobiography as a motivational tool for his World Cup squad.

France manager Didier Deschamps reportedly handed out copies of Sir Alex Ferguson's autobiography to his players in a bid to motivate them ahead of the World Cup in Brazil.

Les Bleus are preparing for a clash against Nigeria in the last 16 after topping Group E with seven points.

According to the Daily Mail, Deschamps told his players to read the former Manchester United manager's book, as well as Eleven Rings: The Soul of Success by Phil Jackson, who won the NBA Championship title 11 times in his career.

France qualified for the knockout stages alongside group opponents Switzerland.
