Europe Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley 'robbed in San Francisco'

A number of items are reportedly stolen from the car of Europe Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley while the golfer is in San Francisco.

Thieves reportedly stole a number of items from the car of Europe Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley in the United States.

The Irishman is believed to have travelled to a restaurant at Ocean Beach after landing at San Francisco airport.

According to The San Francisco Chronicle, golf clubs, a travel bag, his passport and travel documents were snatched, as well as a number of Ryder Cup items that he had chosen for a charity auction.

Reports have claimed that McGinley discovered the theft when he noticed that the back window of his car had been smashed.
