Crystal Palace's Jason Puncheon restrained by Barry Bannan in darts 'scuffle'?

Crystal Palace's Jason Puncheon is reportedly restrained by teammate Barry Bannan after being taunted by football fans while leaving the World Darts Championship final.

Crystal Palace winger Jason Puncheon was reportedly held back by his teammate Barry Bannan during an alleged incident at the final of the PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace last Sunday.

The pair witnessed Gary Anderson secure victory over Phil Taylor after Palace's 4-0 win over Dover Athletic in the third round of the FA Cup.

According to the Daily Mail, while leaving the venue, Puncheon needed to be restrained by Bannan after football fans began taunting him.

It is believed that Puncheon was put in a car by his teammate and friends to prevent him from colliding with the fans.

A PDC spokesman told the publication's website that the footballers watched the final in VIP seats and "left the venue without incident".
