Police in Bangkok close roads around Chelsea's hotel as the squad arrives in Thailand for the start of a pre-season tour of the Far East.

Police in Thailand closed the streets around Chelsea's hotel when the squad arrived for their stay in Bangkok as part of the club's pre-season tour.

The Shangri La Hotel closed its lobby while police cordoned off the road outside to ensure that Jose Mourinho's men safely reached the venue.

The Europa League winners arrived in the city just a day after Premier League champions Manchester United, who are also on a pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia.

Chelsea play their first of three matches in the region next Wednesday when they face the Singha All-Stars.
