Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho teams up with BT Sport on three-year deal

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will act as a football expert for BT Sport after joining the broadcaster on a three-year deal.

BT Sport has announced that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has joined its broadcasting team on a three-year deal.

The Portuguese coach will offer his view from a manager's perspective while acting as a football expert, as well as being involved in the making of football programmes.

"I'm looking forward to working with BT Sport," said Mourinho. "In their first year they have shown they are not afraid to challenge, are open to new ideas and want to do things differently. This is the kind of team and ambition that I want to work with."

BT Sport's senior channel executive producer Grant Best added: "Jose Mourinho is one of the greatest managers of all time. Jose is well known for his sense of humour, strong views and unique character and we will showcase this along with his expert insight into our coverage of the Barclays Premier League, European leagues and competitions."

The Premier League and Champions League-winning manager has also been named as a BT Sport ambassador.
