Chelsea captain John Terry scammed out of £1m in fake investment scheme?

Chelsea captain John Terry reportedly loses £1m after investing in an alleged scam.

Chelsea captain John Terry is reportedly among a number of footballers who have lost money in an investment scam.

The former England international is believed to have put in £1m via a third party to a scheme allegedly fronted by retired footballer Michael McIndoe.

According to the Daily Star, the Metropolitan Police could call on Terry to give evidence if a trial is set over the £30m fraudulent initiative.

The report has claimed that other players including Los Angeles Galaxy captain Robbie Keane, former footballer Jimmy Bullard and Aston Villa's Gabriel Agbonlahor were also duped.

McIndoe was declared bankrupt in October last year.
