Heineken extends Champions League partnership

Heineken is the first partner to extend its sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League by signing a three-year deal that will run from 2015 to 2018.

Heineken has extended its sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League by signing a three-year deal that will run from 2015 to 2018.

The world's third-largest brewery, which has been an official partner of the Europe's premier club competition since 2005, is the first sponsor to commit to the tournament beyond the current 2012 to 2015 cycle.

"As Heineken is available in 220 countries in the world and so is the UEFA Champions League, this platform really is to build the Heineken brand worldwide," said Hans-Erik Tuijt, Heineken's global activation manager.

Heineken's brand will be shown on LED advertising boards around Champions League grounds for 13 minutes during every match as part of the new deal.
