Arsenal full-back Andre Santos has been given a 12-month driving ban after pleading guilty to dangerous behaviour on the road.

Santos was arrested on August 17 near Arsenal's London Colney training ground for allegedly driving at speeds of 130mph in his Maserati Gran Turismo.

The Brazilian appeared at Hendon Magistrates' Court on Thursday and admitted to driving dangerously and without due care and attention.

Santos was also ordered to pay a fine and court costs amounting to £3,600.

The 29-year-old started his first game of the season for the Gunners last night as they trounced Coventry City 6-1 in the Capital One Cup.
