Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker wears a T-shirt saying 'BIG F****** GERMAN' in tribute to the chant about him by Gunners fans.

Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker has given his backing to the song attributed to him by Gunners supporters by wearing the chant on a T-shirt.

Per Mertesacker is a Big F***** German

The German international is said to have been sent the piece of clothing from the SpielRaum label, who have printed a photo of the centre-back's face on the front.

The image is also accompanied by the phrase, 'BIG F****** GERMAN', which is regularly sung by Arsenal fans to the tune of 'Guantanamera'.

Mertesacker is expected to feature in Germany's international friendly against England next week.
