Ashley McKenzie wins judo gold for England

Ashley McKenzie wins Team England's fourth gold of the opening day of the Commonwealth Games by defeating India's Navjot Chana in judo.

Team England's Ashley McKenzie has claimed another gold at this year's Commonwealth Games with victory in the 60kg judo final against Navjot Chana, who takes silver for India.

McKenzie's effort is England's fourth gold of the day, and it took some strong defence in the latter stages as he blocked a Chana onslaught.

He had previously gone ahead with an ippon to put him ahead on the scoreboard not long after Chana had notched a waza-ari.

However, in the end the Englishman was too strong and was able to hold on well to take gold.
