Australia thrash Scotland in men's hockey

Australia set up a semi-final with England after thrashing Scotland 5-0 in their final pool match in men's hockey.

Australia have secured a comfortable win in their final pool stage match in the men's hockey event at the Commonwealth Games, beating hosts Scotland 5-0 this afternoon.

Chris Ciriello opened the scoring after 18 minutes before Matt Gohdes grabbed a quick brace for the Aussies.

Kieran Govers and Jacob Whetton both added field goals in the second half to complete the victory for the world's top-ranked side.

Australia will face England in their semi-final.
