Graeme McDowell in contention at RSM Classic

Graeme McDowell remains in contention after the second round of the RSM Classic, reaching the halfway stage four shots behind leader Kevin Chappell.

Graeme McDowell has ended the second round of the RSM Classic just four shots off the pace as he looks to claim back-to-back victories on the PGA Tour.

Last week, the Northern Irishman returned to form with success at the OHL Classic, and he has shown signs in his first two rounds on Sea Island that he can get another triumph on the board.

After a round of 67 on Thursday, McDowell hit five birdies for a round of 68, which leaves him in a tie for ninth place.

American Kevin Chappell has moved into the lead in Georgia after a second-round 65, giving him a one-shot advantage over Freddie Jacobson and Kevin Kisner.
