KJ Choi, Scott Brown share lead

KJ Choi birdies the last hole to join Scott Brown at the top of the leaderboard after three rounds of the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

KJ Choi has negotiated his way through tough conditions to claim a share of the lead after the third round at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Forty-five-year-old Choi, who has not won a PGA Tour event in almost five years, dropped a number of shots as all of the players had to battle with the wind and rain on the South Course at Torrey Pines.

However, a birdie on the final hole saw the South Korean escape with a 72 to secure his place at the top of the leaderboard along with Scott Brown on nine-under.

The leading duo are one shot ahead of Jimmy Walker and Gary Woodland, while four birdies from the last six holes has seen Jonas Blixt move to within two shots of the summit.

With more bad weather forecast for the final round, organisers of the event have moved the tee times forward.
