Denmark extend lead at World Cup of Golf

Denmark extend their lead at the World Cup of Golf in Melbourne after Soren Kjeldsen and Thorbjorn Olesen recorded a third-round score of 70.

Denmark's Soren Kjeldsen and Thorbjorn Olesen have moved close to winning the World Cup of Golf after ending the third round with a four-shot advantage.

The European pairing had led by three shots at the halfway stage but they were able to move further clear of the field after China's Wu Ashun and Li Haotong only shot 72 compared to their score of 70.

USA's Rickie Fowler and Jimmy Walker now sit in second place after a round of 69, while the pairings from Japan, France and Spain are all in a share of fourth position and seven shots off the lead.

Ireland's Shane Lowry and Graeme McDowell are in eighth alongside the Australian duo of Adam Scott and Marc Leishman, but England find themselves down the field in 17th place.

Chris Wood and Andy Sullivan had been in contention at the halfway stage but a third-round 77 has left them without any hope of claiming the trophy.
