Nicolas Colsaerts has taken a three-shot lead at the Portugal Masters after carding a first-round 60 in rainy Vilamoura.

Play was suspended with a number of golfers in the field yet to finish their rounds, but Colsaerts came through his 18 in impressive fashion by making seven birdies and two eagles.

The Belgian was close to recording the European Tour's first round of 59, but it was not to be as he failed to putt a long-range attempt on the 18th.
