Result: United States retain lead on rainy day in Ohio

The United States still lead the Internationals by one point after the second day at the Presidents Cup, although four foursomes matches are still to be completed.

United States have maintained a one-point lead over the International team at the end of a rain-affected second day of the Presidents Cup in Ohio.

The two teams shared the opening two points at Muirfielf Village Golf Club before a downpour saw players head off course with four foursomes matches still to be completed.

Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley extended the Americans's overnight advantage to two points with a 4&3 victory over Jason Day and Graham DeLaet.

Ernie Els and Brendon de Jonge got Nick Price's team back on track by overcoming Bill Haas and Hunter Mahan by the same score, the siren sounded at 3.09pm local time to bring an end to proceedings, with the score at 4.5 to 3.5.

Tiger Woods and Matt Kuchar are currently three-up on South African pair Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen through 12, while Steve Stricker and Jordan Spieth are three-up on Branden Grace and Richard Sterne through 14.

However, Angel Cabrera and Marc Leishman are one-up on Webb Simpson and Brandt Snedeker through 13, and Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama are four holes up on Jason Dufner and Zach Johnson through 11.
