Rickie Fowler clinches Scottish Open crown

Rickie Fowler wins the Scottish Open after a flurry of late birdies at Gullane.

Rickie Fowler produced a dramatic finish to win the Scottish Open, beating American Matt Kuchar by a single shot.

The American duo were tied at the top of the leaderboard, but a well-struck second shot at the 18th left a tournament-winning birdie putt from a couple of feet, which Fowler sunk for victory.

A bogey at 15 almost put the Californian out of the running, but three birdies in the final four holes helped the 26-year-old to a round of 68.

Marc Warren had put himself into contention with six birdies in the final nine holes to finish on 10-under-par.

France's Raphael Jacquelin tied for second as he failed to build on his overnight lead and could only muster a level-par round at Gullane.
