Justin Rose believes that his performance on the greens of Bay Hill will inspire confidence following his first-round 65 in the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
The 32-year-old leads the way overnight on seven-under par, with America's John Huh lurking two shots further back.
"Any time you go low at Bay Hill it's a bonus," Rose told the PGA Tour's official website. "Starting out this morning it felt a real grind. It was cold, it was windy, the rough was thick.
"Not everything was perfect today, but the putter was really hot and those are really fun days when that happens.
"Today was the first real hot day I've had with the blade for some time, but as we all know it's about consistency. It's nice to know that I can do it, I'll draw a lot of confidence from that."
John Rollins and Brad Fritsch are tied for third on four-under, while 10 players - including Tiger Woods - find themselves on three-under.
