Ian Poulter and former PGA of America president Ted Bishop have reignited their Twitter feud by clashing over a recent poll that dubbed the English golfer 'overrated'.
Poulter, as well as US professional Rickie Fowler, were voted as the most overrated golfers on tour, but the latter answered his critics by winning the Players Championship in a three-way playoff on Sunday.
Bishop, who was sacked by the PGA of America in October last year for describing Poulter as a "lil girl" in a Twitter spat, appeared to poke fun at the Englishman following Fowler's triumph in Florida.
Bishop tweeted: "Rickie Fowler - the legend is made. Only one over rated player left......."
Poulter reacted to the message by writing: "Oh Ted Ted Ted..... I thought you learnt you lesson the last time. Obviously not."
Bishop went on to tweet: "I guess my sarcasm on the "over rated" poll went right over some people's head like @IanJamesPoulter. Fowler proved it was a farce. #relax"
Bishop's "lil girl" comments came after Poulter criticised former Europe Ryder Cup captain Nick Faldo and the recent USA captain Tom Watson in his book No Limits.
