Rory McIlroy pleased with second-round performance at Arnold Palmer Invitational

Rory McIlroy says that he is pleased with his second-round performance in the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida.

Rory McIlroy has said that he is pleased with shooting a second-round 66 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida.

The Northern Irishman is tied sixth going into the weekend, five shots back from leader Morgan Hoffmann.

"It would have been nice to finish the round off a little better, but it's still a good score and sets me up for the weekend," McIlroy told the Golf Channel.

"Each day I am feeling more comfortable, especially on the greens, and we got the best of the greens being out early.

"I'm happy with how I putted today and will need to putt like that over the weekend to have a chance."

McIlroy carded five birdies in a row during the second round.
