Keegan Bradley was labelled a "cheat" by a fan during yesterday's third round of the World Challenge at the Sherwood Country Club in California.
The heckling was because of Bradley's use of a belly putter, which will be phased out by 2016 after a rule change was announced earlier this week.
"I had some guy here call me a cheater on the last hole, which was no fun," Bradley said after finishing the day two shots behind leader Graeme McDowell.
"But I look forward to hopefully making everything tomorrow with that belly putter and hopefully it (the criticism) will get a little louder.
"I never have been heckled before. I've never heard anything negative. Today I heard a few things but I also heard way more positives than negatives."
Bradley kissed his putter after missing an eight-footer on the final green.
