Sebastian Vettel: We will not panic

Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel insists that his team will not panic despite being beaten by McLaren in Australian GP qualifying.

Sebastain Vettel has congratulated McLaren on their 1-2 in Australian Grand Prix qualifying but insists that his Red Bull team will not panic.

The reigning champion could only record a sixth-place finish on Saturday morning, a place behind teammate Mark Webber, while Lewis Hamilton secured pole for McLaren ahead of the season opener in Melbourne.

"I wasn't happy with my final attempt - I did a mistake in the beginning of the lap, so I should have been higher up," the German told Sky Sports.

"Today we were not good enough, but that's no reason to panic - the race is tomorrow and we have not even had one race yet.

"I think McLaren was out of reach today. So congratulations, they were really quick, and now we will see what we can do tomorrow."

Vettel won the corresponding race last year on his way to a second drivers' title.
