Pascal Wehrlein to drive for Manor Racing

Reigning Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters champion Pascal Wehrlein will drive for Manor Racing in Formula 1 this year.

Manor Racing have confirmed that Pascal Wehrlein will drive for them this season.

The 21-year-old has made the switch to Formula 1 as the reigning Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters champion.

"Manor Racing is a great place for me to start my Formula 1 racing career. I'm very pleased to be here. It's a small and totally focused team and I soon hope to know everyone," said the German.

"It will be a tough challenge but I think we should be able to challenge for points along the way."

Wehrlein will take part in both pre-season tests ahead of his first Grand Prix in Melbourne.
