Report: Lewis Hamilton agrees new Mercedes deal

Lewis Hamilton agrees a new three-year deal with Mercedes, according to a report.

Lewis Hamilton has reportedly agreed a new contract with Mercedes.

The reigning world champion's protracted contract negotiations have been a major talking point during the 2015 season.

The British driver currently leads the standings by 20 points from teammate Nico Rosberg ahead of this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix.

Hamilton has agreed terms on a new deal that will run for the next three years, according to Sky Sports News.

The 30-year-old has taken 15 Grand Prix wins since joining Mercedes and last year added the 2014 Drivers' Championship to his 2008 title with McLaren.

Hamilton has been with Mercedes since 2013.
