Lewis Hamilton has warned his Formula 1 championship rivals that he is the best form of his career.
The Briton will start from pole position for Sunday afternoon's Bahrain Grand Prix, with Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel joining him on the front row of the grid.
Hamilton has his sights set on picking up his third victory of the season at Sakhir.
The Mercedes driver told reporters: "I'm buzzing and driving better than ever.
"I don't have the best record here compared with other circuits, but I'll be giving it my all to add to my only win here.
"Sebastian Vettel is always going to make it tough but the momentum is with me. And my target is to repeat last season's win here and firm up my championship chances. It's shaping up to be one heck of a race."
Hamilton's teammate Nico Rosberg will start from the second row of the grid after admitting that he got strategy wrong in Q3.
