Mercedes one-two in Austrian Grand Prix second practice

Lewis Hamilton edges out his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg in the second practice session for the Austrian Grand Prix.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has set the fastest time in the second practice session for the Austrian Grand Prix, with his teammate Nico Rosberg in second.

Hamilton and Rosberg were the only two drivers to go faster than 1:10.000, and were some way ahead of Fernando Alonso's Ferrari in third with their 1:09.542 and 1:09.919 respectively.

Jenson Button got his McLaren around the circuit in 1:10.813 for seventh overall, sandwiched between the Red Bulls of Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo respectively.

The rain started to fall not long before the end of the session, but despite a strong showing from Williams in fourth and fifth no team could get near the front pair.
