McLaren confirm Martin Whitmarsh departure

McLaren confirm that they "have agreed amicably to part company" with former team principal Martin Whitmarsh.

McLaren have revealed that the team's former principal Martin Whitmarsh has now departed the company.

It was confirmed back in January that the 56-year-old had left the role, subject to a financial settlement being reached.

In a short statement today, McLaren announced that a deal has now been struck.

"McLaren and Martin Whitmarsh have agreed amicably to part company," it read.

Whitmarsh has since been replaced at the helm by Ron Dennis.
