Kevin Magnussen '100% blameless' for Felipe Massa crash

McLaren racing director Eric Boullier insists that Kevin Magnussen was "100% blameless" for the crash that flipped Williams driver Felipe Massa at the German Grand Prix.

McLaren racing director Eric Boullier has insisted that Kevin Magnussen was "100% blameless" for the crash that ended Felipe Massa's German Grand Prix on Sunday.

Massa flipped during a first-corner collision with Magnussen, and the Williams driver has since blamed the Dane for the accident on the Hockenheimring track.

However, Boullier has revealed that race investigators are only analysing Massa's driving and have declared Magnussen to be completely innocent in the causing of the altercation.

Boullier told reporters: "There was a driving conduct investigation and the report makes it clear that Kevin was 100% blameless."

The race was won by home favourite Nico Rosberg, who is top of the Formula 1 drivers' standings. Magnussen is ninth in his debut season at McLaren, one place and seven points above Massa.
