Hockenheim Grand Prix deal 'not yet signed'

Hockenheim has not agreed a deal to stage the 2015 German Grand Prix, according to the boss of the circuit.

The boss of Hockenheim has warned that an agreement has not been reached to stage this year's German Grand Prix.

Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone had claimed that the circuit in the Rhine Valley would replace the Nurburgring in hosting the 2015 event.

However, Georg Sieler has revealed that talks are ongoing with Ecclestone, but no deal has been completed.

He told Auto Motor und Sport: "We can only say something if a contract is signed. And we're not there yet."

Sieler also hinted that a poor attendance at last season's race, in which approximately 52,000 fans showed up, may be behind the delay is striking a deal.
