Vijay Mallya confirms Aston Martin-Force India talks

Vijay Mallya confirms that Force India are in discussions with sports car company Aston Martin.

Force India owner Vijay Mallya has confirmed that Force India is in talks with Aston Martin over a deal, which could bring the famous marque back into Formula 1 from next season.

Aston Martin have been linked with a return to the sport in the past, including a rumoured link up with Red Bull.

However, Mallya has confirmed a report by Autosport, which claimed that the team could be rebranded as Aston Martin Racing from 2016.

He told reporters: "We are in discussion. Nothing has been finalized, we have many options and I'll be able to confirm or otherwise once I have something to say.

"As I've said, and as was faithfully reported by Autosport, I don't like to count my chickens before they hatch."

Williams were also linked to a possible tie-up before with Aston before they entered talks with Force India.
