Nico Hulkenberg: 'I'll keep working hard to secure top seat'

Force India's Nico Hulkenberg admits to feeling "impatient" with regards to being overlooked by Formula 1's elite outfits.

Nico Hulkenberg has admitted that he is 'frustrated' to have not yet been given an opportunity to impress at one of Formula 1's biggest teams.

The German racer, who will compete in two rounds of next year's World Endurance Championship for Porsche, recently announced that he will stay with Force India beyond the end of 2014 season.

Despite having never been given a shot at the likes of McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes or Red Bull, Rosberg insists that he will continue to work hard.

"Every driver wants to be in a top car and drive for wins and Championships," Autosport quotes him as saying. "It is no different with me.

"So from that point of view, you are impatient and you want to get there. For me it is frustrating not to have it yet at this second - but that is how life is, that is racing. But I will keep working hard here and I am sure one day the opportunity will come."

Hulkenberg finished ninth in the 2014 drivers' championship.
