Kimi Raikkonen admits that he is "really happy" to be returning to Ferrari next season after signing a two-year deal with the Italian team.

Kimi Raikkonen has revealed that he is "really happy" to be returning to Ferrari next season.

The 33-year-old Finn, who currently drives for Lotus, signed a two-year deal with the Italian team on Wednesday.

Raikkonen won the World Championship title during a previous spell at Ferrari before leaving in 2009.

"I am really happy to be returning to Maranello where I previously spent three fantastic and very successful years," he told the team's official website.

"I have so many memories of my time at Ferrari, memories which have stayed with me these past years, first and foremost, winning the World Championship title in 2007, which was really unforgettable."

Raikonnen will be replacing Felipe Massa after the Brazilian announced on Tuesday night that he would not be driving for Ferrari next year.
