Fernando Alonso says that he plans on driving for Ferrari until he retires.

Spanish driver Fernando Alonso has revealed that he plans to see out his Formula 1 career with Ferrari.

The 31-year-old is currently in his fourth season with the Italian team having previously enjoyed spells with Minardi, McLaren and two stints with Renault.

When asked whether he would like to end his career with Ferrari during a question-and-answer session on Twitter, he replied: "Yes, that's what I'm going to do.

"It's the best team in the world, there's nothing above Ferrari."

Alonso won both of his world championships with Renault in 2005 and 2006.
