Gareth Ainsworth pleased with Matt Bloomfield return

Gareth Ainsworth says that he is pleased to see Matt Bloomfield make a full recovery from his pelvis injury.

Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth has said that he is happy to see Matt Bloomfield return to first-team action.

The 29-year-old midfielder recently made his first appearance for the club after suffering a pelvis injury in August 2012.

Ainsworth has expressed his delight that Bloomfield has returned to playing football.

"I know about Bloomsy's nightmare, I had exactly the same thing when I was at Wimbledon and I was out for a year," Ainsworth told Football365.com.

"When you do come back and you do have those minutes it is really important to take them. Match fitness is something totally different to fitness and until you are a professional footballer you'll never understand that.

"Blooms playing again is great for Wycombe. He has 300 games for us and knows how we play, he was my room-mate when I first came here - he knows what I want and how I am. He's back around the squad now and that can only be a good thing for Wycombe Wanderers."

Bloomfield joined Wycombe from Ipswich Town in 2003.
