Wolverhampton Wanderers will reportedly turn their attentions to Bournemouth defender Steve Cook after appearing to have missed out on Sheffield centre-back Harry Maguire.

Bournemouth defender Steve Cook has reportedly attracted interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Cook has been offered a new contract with the Cherries after an impressive campaign in the Championship, but it appears that the South Coast club may face a fight to retain the services of the 23-year-old.

According to the Express & Star, League One champions Wolves are ready to launch a seven-figure bid for Cook, who is also said to have admirers in the Premier League.

Wolves had initially been trying to secure a deal for Sheffield United's Harry Maguire, but the young Blades centre-back looks likely to join Hull City.
