Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders admits that a win over Bristol City next weekend would be vital for his team.

Dean Saunders has urged his Wolverhampton Wanderers players to "damage" the survival hopes of fellow strugglers Bristol City this coming Saturday.

The two teams will meet at Molineux with Wolves only above the Robins, who are in the relegation zone, on goal difference.

With the potential to open up a three-point gap between themselves and the drop zone, Saunders has expressed his eagerness to see his team to collect a positive results.

"We can still stay up, and we have to take some spirit from the performance on Saturday [against Nottingham Forest," Saunders is quoted as saying by the Express & Star. "We're not in the relegation zone and have to go into the Bristol City game thinking we can do them some damage."

Saunders took charge of the club in January and has won just one match since then.
