Preview: Leicester City vs. Wigan Athletic

Sports Mole previews the Championship clash between Leicester City and Wigan Athletic.

Leicester City take on Wigan Athletic in the Championship this weekend knowing that a win could put them level on points with league leaders Blackpool.

The Foxes promotion bid suffered a setback in their last outing, in which they went down 2-1 at Charlton Athletic.

Wigan got their league campaign off to a mixed start, but an impressive 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest two weeks ago moved them into the business end of the table.

Summer signing Dean Hammond is expected to make his debut for Leicester in the absence of midfielder Matty James, who is serving a one-match ban.

Grant Holt, James McClean and Shaun Maloney could feature for Wigan in some capacity.

Recent form

Leicester: DWWWL

Wigan: WLDDW

Possible starting lineups

Leicester: Schmeichel; De Laet, Drinkwater, Whitbread, Hammond; Knockaert, King, Schlupp, Moore; Nugent, Wood

Wigan: Carson; Boyce, Barnett, Perch, Crainey; McCann, McArthur, Beausejour; Fortune, Dicko, Holt

Sports Mole says: 2-2
