Marc Albrighton enjoys feeling "wanted" after loan move to Wigan Athletic

Marc Albrighton says that it's nice to feel "wanted" at Wigan Athletic, whom he joined on loan from Aston Villa this morning.

Marc Albrighton has said that it is nice to feel "wanted" at Wigan Athletic after he completed a 28-day loan to the Latics from Aston Villa this morning.

The England youth international has made just one appearance for Villa this season and is looking forward to getting some first-team action.

"It's really nice to come to a club and be wanted. Hopefully over the next month I can pick up some good form, confidence and do well for Wigan Athletic," he told the club website.

Albrighton also revealed that Villa manager Paul Lambert described the move as ideal for his development, adding: "Paul Lambert agreed that this would be an ideal move for me, and as soon as I found out Wigan Athletic were interested in bringing me in I jumped at the chance to come to the DW Stadium."

Albrighton will be eligible to make his debut in the Latics' Championship clash against high-flying Queens Park Rangers this evening.
